Food Safety is a significant concern of today's food consumer. With the new requirements under the USDA Food Modernization Act, every producer and processor is charged with insuring they produce a safe, wholesome product. In 2012 the Mission Mountain Food Enterprise Center adopted a comprehensive facility wide Food Safety Program. Any client using the facility to process their product is under the umbrella of that program and is assisted in the development of their individual HACCP plan. The Center also offers numerous resources to clients who operate their own facility to help develop their own food safety programs.
