The Lake County Housing Assistance Office has housing assistance programs for low to moderate income families provided by the Ronan Housing Authority and the Lake County Community Housing Organization. The programs include: Rental units in Polson, Pablo, Ronan, and St. Ignatius, Section 8 Voucher Program, Tenant-Based Rental Assistance program (24 month rental assistance depending on funds availability), and the First-Time Home Buyer's Program that is designed to help qualified low to moderate income families become property owners by providing down payment and closing cost assistance to be used toward the purchase of a home. We also have the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) which was granted to the Ronan Housing Authority, for the City of Ronan within its city limits which entail: Rehabilitating sites or structures (for use or for resale for new housing), Increasing the energy efficiency of housing units (through weatherization), and Community Revitalization (Complimentary activities includes exterior painting, blight removal, demolition of dilapidated buildings, clean-up, etc.).
